We don't discuss our takes until after the reviews are written, so I didn't know for sure just how in-depth they would go. That makes it even more fun, no?

But yes, do look into his fiction, even if it might sound as though each of us were lukewarm in some form or fashion over some of the stories.Larry Nolenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16001420558511460998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8068873.post-3397841948518322922010-11-10T23:26:03.706-06:002010-11-10T23:26:03.706-06:00I am liking these reviews, it is interesting to se...I am liking these reviews, it is interesting to see whether or not the three of you end up coming to a similar conclusion or going off in different directions.

I have never heard of Matt Bell before (a surprise, I'm sure) and have never been in danger of running out and putting down money for one of his collections, but if I was, these reviews would have done well in keeping me from doing so.

On the other hand, there are a few of his stories available online (The Receiving Tower, Dredge, Mario's Three Lives) and since it appears the worst way to read his stories is straight through, reading a smattering of his fiction here and there may work out well.Jameshttp://dazedrambling.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
