The short sentences and the pacing make it easy to be propelled by the plot, rather than wallow in the details (which is why I did in CoS and Shriek).

Like you, Larry, very impressed overall. I think those readers curious about how some writers go about organizing their duties/chores might find this entertaining, but it certainly wouldn't read as well as a good novel for them.

That being said, it seemed to know its target audience quite well.Larry Nolenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16001420558511460998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8068873.post-4066122146776402742009-10-23T10:14:43.746-05:002009-10-23T10:14:43.746-05:00That last post was from me, Kelly S.

I'm curious, though, if this book has entertainment value for the non-writer, the non-creator. In short, would Average Joe Reader enjoy Booklife?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8068873.post-3342084777164163782009-10-23T00:55:00.453-05:002009-10-23T00:55:00.453-05:00Glad you enjoyed it, Kelly! I had hoped to have a review of Booklife up by now, but life demands got in the way, so it'll be either late Friday or sometime Saturday before I review it. Ought to be interesting, since I don't think I've reviewed such a work since my grad school days at UTK a dozen years ago :PLarry Nolenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16001420558511460998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8068873.post-77107629270030298512009-10-21T18:42:28.941-05:002009-10-21T18:42:28.941-05:00Very enjoyable review.
