Eighteen More Best of 2009 Lists

Eighteen more lists (with doubtless a few dozen more to go in the coming weeks) of a selection of online and print Best of 2009 lists.  Many of these lists were for general fiction, literary fiction, or for graphic novels, so if you were expecting me to just focus on SF/F genre fiction, you're SOL, as I do like variety in my reading.  Like last time, this is a compilation of lists, with books read and/or owned in parenthesis.  Will be trying to do a running tabulation with each installment, with editing later on to add the totals from the previous list post.

I don't know why Palimpsest wasn't on every single one of those lists. That book was sick.

As much as I have enjoyed Valente's other work, for some reason, Palimpsest left me feeling a bit cold when I read it back in the springtime. That and over half the lists are from newspapers and/or non-genre publications. That might explain it as well.

Can't right now - sent it to Dunja, so it'll have to be a bit before I get around to buying more books.

I re-read it, immediately after finishing, first time I've ever done that, and it was a lot better the second time around. My copy is also lent out. I wish I could read it again, I might just buy another one.
