You've read several works by Eric Basso... but i don't remember seing that name elsewhere.
I'm also curious about Embassytown and Sleight of Hand...

Yeah, the Basso is for a future review sometime between now and August. I reviewed Embassytown last month and found it to be flawed but still more imaginative than most technically sound works that I've read recently. Sleight of Hand is excellent throughout.
