Whadda think? Maybe it could be for a faux-medieval novel about loud responses to religious/political authorities and their ridiculous demands? Would you buy a book that had this as its cover art? Why or why not?

It awfully reminds me of the final scene of Pasolini's "The Canterbury Tales", in which the devil shits friars. Literally.
Ha! Is that the real reason why friars are always depicted as wearing brown robes? :P
