Nah, Hodor wil be the only one to survive the mess, and end up on the Iron Throne. Where he's going to do a better job than some of those who occupied it before.
I also think Martin will give him a pet squirrel. Direwolves and dragons get a bit old.
No one is given a squirrel. One has to earn a squirrel's trust to be permitted to be blessed with a rabid squirrel's presence. The non-rabid ones are only waiting until they are judged worthy enough of getting to be promoted to rabid status.
