Eclectic and striving never to follow paths into ruts, the OF Blog focuses on essays, reviews, interviews, and other odds and ends that might be of interest to fans of both literary and speculative fiction. Now with a cute owl for your enjoyment.
I've been thinking of writing on this topic for a while (more later this week), but Matt Cheney has a great take on the tricky issue of literary canon that I think many readers here would enjoy.
You're welcome! Matt's a great writer. I don't link to his many wonderful articles and essays as much as I should.
Now saying this, whenever I do write my related piece (maybe in the next 1-2 days?), I suspect he might disagree with me a bit on some terminology. But what's the fun with agreeing 100% with people 100% of the time? :D
The reviews and opinions expressed on this blog are by rabid squirrels, who may attack if they are not correctly attributed, as appropriate. 2003-2022. Powered by Blogger.

That article is so so wonderful. Thanks so much for linking to it. Otherwise my morning reading would have been a little less awesome.
