Although I'm not going to make a daily or even a weekly habit of this, as have a few other reviewers, I thought I'd showcase four books that arrived today in three separate shipments. Only one of these was purchased; the rest are Advance Review Copies. But for your book voyeurs out there, here is a sampling of what I receive on a near-daily basis:
For those wanting to read more of the adventures of Laurence and Temraire, Naomi Novik's fifth book, Victory of Eagles, comes out on July 8, 2008 in hardcover from Del Rey. The next two books were shipped to me by DAW and are the second and fourth installments, respectively, of books by Jenna Rhodes (The Dark Ferryman) and Tanya Huff (Valor's Trial). The final book is a just-released hardcover from Ursula Le Guin, Lavinia, which covers the other aspects of the tale of Aeneas and his arrival in Latium, told by Lavinia herself. This subject has had me intrigued for some time (and Vergil's epic is a personal favorite of mine, since I had to do a partial translation of it for my Latin class 14 years ago), so don't be surprised if I have a review of this one up before the month is over.
There were other recent arrivals, but those were mostly purchases, so I decided not to include them here. But if people want to see more, I might consider it, although I certainly am nowhere near the levels of certain other reviewers. Hope this little book porn titillated you just a little bit, though.

Lavinia *drools frenziedly*.
It met my high expectations, if that'll help you any ;)
*wistful sigh* :)
Probably one of the rare types of porn I always enjoy...
Well, I suppose I could look and see if I've received any "animal companion" types, if that'll meet your "rare types of porn" that you enjoy more? :P
