It's been over three years with the basic format and while I'm uncertain if I'll change the template (only change during that time was going from blue to green to mark my support for the Iranian civil protests in 2009), I decided it was time to streamline the appearance here. Placed all those lengthy interviews, reviews, and recommended reading links into separate pages that will be linked in the sidebar to the right.
Also decided to winnow the review and author blog lists some. Nothing personal for those blogs that are now gone, but I just wasn't reading them much at all without a direct link provided and since there will be a few more changes coming here in the near future, I thought it was best to delete the ones whose focus were on materials that don't interest me any more.
There will be something announced in the near future that will be exciting, but mostly only for those few involved. I love hinting like a mo'fo. It does warm my near-reptilian blood on occasion.
Oh, and there's other other little change. Curious to see how long it'll take y'all to spot it.

I wonder what this annoucement could be. :P
I believe it is something that will piss off a few people who deserve to be pissed off ;)
You've become the editor of the internet?
Also - I'm so glad to see that you are no longer fallen. Stand up, and be counted!
Pleased as punch I made it through the blogroll cutbacks of 2010!
Now, this "something" you're set to announce... I must know. You're in on it, aren't you Paul?
Is the blog description just below the new blog name new, too? I guess so, since it has the new blog name. One of these days I will figure out what OF stands for :)
Putting link lists on separate sites is an idea I should consider for my own blog. Besides the lists of Blogs I Read and Interesting Websites, I have about 500 links to posts I've written, and that does get unwieldy, no matter how well I try to organise the sidebar.
Another idea may be to compose little dropdown menus, in case the template will accept those. May ask my readers if they prefer to click through a second link to get to my post archives to scrolling the sidebar down and down ....
No comment Niall. ;)
Secrets!
Damn you all...
It's a conspiracy.
Joe,
Pfft! :P
Niall,
I almost eliminated the links section altogether, so yeah, you've been reprieved for now...I think ;) But what's to happen involves three people, not two, and I'm playing bass in this three-piece band!
Jeff,
That description has been there for several months in that form and for years in a slightly altered form. I usually referred to this blog as "the OF Blog" for years, so I thought why not shorten its name and make it easier for others.
The "OF" is a reference to wotmania's old Other Fantasy section, since I originally started this blog in 2004 to be an extension of that forum. It can also mean "Other Fiction" now as well, I suppose.
Gabriele,
If I had greater knowledge of HTML, I would probably do something like that. But for now, I don't, unfortunately.
Oh yeah. I thought I should have remembered what the OF stood for.
If you would change your settings so your blog wasn't clutchy, that'd be great. By which I mean if I try to navigate away from it, it just refreshes unless I click twice. Irritating. I have only so many clicks left to me before paralysis sets in.
JeffV
That's very strange, Jeff, since I haven't noticed that problem myself. Anyone else have that issue?
I tend to read via Bloglines, and only click over when I want to see the comments, but, no. I haven't noticed any clutchiness.
It might be personal with Jeff. Larry just doesn't want to let go. Now - if he ever starts repeating "I'll never let go, Jeff, I'll never let go" - RUN. Assuming you can escape his clutches.
No one escapes a rabid squirrel's clutches. NO ONE.
Jeff, it's a Blogger problem. I experience it with blogs on occasion, and the guilty critter seems to be the Follower icons. When they haven't loaded completely before you click some other link, there's sometimes a hiccup.
I made the cuts... Was all I could think of at 7 am after my night shift.
Also I hope my weird cute-ishness and eagerness will some day include me in a secret project.
