July 15 Used Book Porn

A somewhat modest haul today, as I wasn't trading in that many books.  Nice mixture of languages and genres, but no absolute steals this time.  OK, here's a Poul Anderson book that I bought to read later when I review the Gollancz SF Masterworks series, along with two Vonnegut books for the same purpose.  Always meant to read Horace Walpole, considering how influential he was on the 19th century Gothic writers, and the Glen Cook is to go with the just-received companion volume that I'll review in a couple of months.

The foreign language section is always the first I visit and with the most expensive book here at $4 (the Benito Perez Galdos), I usually get great deals.  Also purchased a second copy of Cortázar's most famous book so I can read the critical studies included.  At $1.50, it wasn't too much to spend.

Kafka in the original German was too much to pass, so I bought that and Diderot and Flaubert in the original French.  The Wells book is for the SF Masterworks review series and the Silverberg is just because.

How many of these have you read/wish you could read?

I've only read two. That's quite a catch!

These are my favorite posts at OFBotF. I look through the Larry-fare and see what I own or have read. On today's, heh, it's only Madame Bovary, The Island of Dr. Moreau and the Glen Cook, Dread Empire, Nightshade edition.
