I received my review copy of Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson's
Towers of Midnight a few minutes ago. Here are two photos to prove that I received them, although I will not be revealing anything of a spoilerish nature until November 2, the book's scheduled US release date. I will note that there are 861 pages in this book and that glancing at the very end of the book, it's surprising. Might read it this weekend rather than next weekend, as I had originally planned, just on the basis of those final scenes, so I can see how it reached to that point. But outside of that, mum shall be the word, as I have already promised elsewhere.

got mine too. Looking forward to your thoughts.
The style is noticeably different, that's for certain. That's not necessarily a bad thing, however. First 70 pages done already. Only 791 to go :P
A Mac, Larry! I wouldn't've pegged you as such a hipster!
mine is here too. I will be reading as much as I can this weekend, though that won't add up to much. This way I should actually have it read by the 2nd.
I love my Macbook; I've had it since June 2009, but I've used others ever since the early 1990s. I'm hoping to get a new Ipad+MiFi around Christmas as well.
Ummm, I don't get the photo that looks like it has Robert Jordan's signature. Am I being obtuse, or is there some inside joke?....
@Jason, Sanderson has said that he is not comfortable signing these books without at least the impression of Jordan's involement. So he asked that Jordan's signature be reproduced on them - it was this way for The Gathering Storm as well.
Ugh, why did I turn a copy down? The reviewer in me is in no position to read the book (haven't read WoT) since Book 8 but the bibliophile in me wants the exclusive ARC...
It's just an autographed copy of the final release :P
Oh, and a warning to those who like to read the Glossary first: Don't. You will find a single entry that spoils not just a long-awaited revelation, but also a major, major event in ToM.
Sell out!
:D
Ha! :P
I hear that an autographed copy of Robert Stanek's latest is being sent to you now, Paul ;)
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
You know you'll love it!
I'm glad someone asked about Jordan's signature, I was a little confused! So jealous that you have this already, though I'm only on book 3 in my re-read at the moment :)
Yo Lars, you got ToM! and I am awaiting much spoiling fun, however since you promised not to until november (and november is upon us)...I'm damnably eating my fingernails whilst waiting to be spoiled - I have NEVER had a book ruined for me just cuz someone told me something of what it had inside, it actually makes me want to read it even more...to get to that delightful spoiler...
cheers
Oscar
I have a question because I am confused about a part in the book. Maybe someone that has read it can help. Ok, here goes, its about Tam. He is supposed to be with Perrin but in one chapter he is in Tear when Rand gets back and he hugs Rand and the next chapter he is with Perrin again. The Chapter where Rand goes to Bandor Ebon he says that he sent Tam to Edmonds Field to get them rallied for the last battle but then the next chapter Tam is with Perrin again. Then while with Perrin Tam has to rush away to Tear for Rand.....this is like in the middle of the book....he is traveling? Because it is not mentioned if he is or not.
I have still yet to read this, but I'm finally past the train wreck of Crossroads of Twilight
