I found this passage from a book I received recently to be quite thought-provoking, so I thought I'd take a picture of it and let others interpret it and/or guess the book in question. Any comments?
My mother used to read it when she was young. I sort of inherited the book from her (even though she´s alive and well, but I loved it so much that she gave it to me). :-)
Now I´m also reading Thomas Merton a lot. He´s kind of a role model to me.

Would it be Gibran Khalil Gibran´s The Prophet?
Yes. Have you read it before? I just finished reading it and there shall be many re-reads in the very near future, I am sure :D

That is cool, as the same sort of thing happened with me and my maternal grandmother in regards to Ray Bradbury :D
Haven't read any Merton yet, but thanks for reminding me about him, as he is one of the thinkers I've been meaning to read for some time.
